Responsibilities
The Cleuren Lab within the Cardiovascular Biology Research Program (CVB) of the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scientist interested in endothelial cell biology and hemostasis. The lab uses both in/ex vivo and in vitro models to study the molecular mechanisms underlying endothelial cell heterogeneity and (dys)function in relation to pathology, with a special focus on cellular interactions and the role of the endothelium in inflammatory conditions.
OMRF and the highly collaborative CVB forms an excellent environment for research with state-of-the-art facilities. Postdoctoral Scientists are supported by the Postdoctoral Training Program and are encouraged to apply for OMRF Postdoc Travel Awards to promote communicating their science at conferences and participate in workshops.
Qualifications
Ph.D. in a biological science, chemistry, physics or other relevant area, M.D., or equivalent. Candidates must have attention to detail, and ability for critical thinking and problem-solving as well as excellent written and oral communication skills. They need to be able to work independently but also as a member of a multidisciplinary team, and perform both self-directed and guided research.
